My SUV holds 26 gallons of fuel and I can't figure out how to convert that into Pounds.

about 7 lbs/gal => 26*7

convert 26 gallons to ml
multiply by the density in g/cc to get the grams
convert to kgs
multiply by 2.204 to get the pounds

162.5 pounds is correct for US gallons. UK gallons are different.
