Michael Moore's odious "documentary" Bowling For Columbine specifically contrasted the supposed guns-and-death culture of America with the peaceful, but still gun owning, culture of Canada.

I am a trained historian. I know that no human mind is totally objective and that a person's perspective will influence an interpretation no matter how hard it is fought.

But I expect a historian or a documentary maker not to lie. I realized very early in Moore's career that he misrepresented things.

As soon as I learned he couldn't be trusted, I stopped watching his movies.

So, yes, Michael Moore's films have changed my mind. They caused me to withdraw the initial assumption of honesty and good will that I extend to anybody trying to make case, and to distrust him.

Not really, but people should really think about what they say or stop being bullies. People kill people if it's with a gun or knife or by whatever means. It's not what scares us to kill, but what irks us. Remember that if you piss someone off enough they might have the guts to kill ya.
I read his book too, but it was boring and went in just as a waste of time because I've already forgot. I liked Fahrenheit 9/11 better, but that's because it shows our governments ignorance just like that television series Path to 9/11. I say good day.

Yes, he changed my way of thinking. Before he started making movies, I thought most documentaries were decent. Now, when I think of them, I think "Hey, I wonder how the hell Michael Moore told our enemies that we're a country divided this time?" He's a dumbazz, and nobody should be allowed to make those kind of movies.

No, I still think Canada is gay. I'd rather be in a country that celebrates fighting for it's idependence rather than waiting for mother England to give it to you for free. I guess more French traits stuck around up there than we figured after we kicked some limp wristed behind in the French Indian War.

I had my own way of thinking before I saw his films and they were basically the same as his. All his films did for me was give me more information than I originally had.

He hasn't changed my way of thinking, but he did point out a few things I didn't know.
