You can take it to a service shop that performs liquid damage repair and see if they can repair it. One that is available through the mail for a reasonable cost is http://www.amigotek.com. They have been doing liquid damage repairs for over 4 years and may actually be able to save your phone. The one thing you do not want to do is power the phone back up after it has been wet. Take everything apart on the phone to let it dry if you decide that you do not want to pay to repair it. Let it sit for at least 24 hours before putting it back together and trying to power it up. If you have insurance you can contact the insurance company or your service provider and talk to them about replacement options. Most insurance from the service providers does cover liquid damage but it will have a deductible that must be paid in order to replace the handset. I would also replace the battery since it most likely will only give you further headaches down the road.

Sounds strange - but I tried this once: had a stereo receiver that died. Opened up the box and it was encrusted with salt - I lived near the coast. The salt was everywhere and shorted it out. So, if figured, the only chace is to rinse out the electrolytes, so i thoroughly rinsed it with de-ionized water and let it dry out in the sun. It's worked perfectly since then.
You might give it a go. the thing is already dead, so you might as well try something - - just make sure its completely dry before you recharge it and TAKE THE BATTERY OUT before you rinse it. Rechargeable batteries are dangerous when shorted out!

I did the same thing, and dried it with a hair dryer (on very low setting!! VERY IMPORTANT!!) and then let it sit and it was ok, but I know people who weren't as lucky. It's really a 50/50 chance, good luck homie! By the way, once it gets water in the battery it does void the warranty and youll have to pay retail for the new one even if you have insurance.

I left mine in my pants pocket and put it in the washing machine. I let it dry out for 2 days, charged it, and it came back on. I still had water residue in the screen and the camera lens for almost 2 weeks, but it's now looking like nothing ever happened.

I did the same thing with my RAZR at the mall...turn it off and LEAVE it off!! Take the pieces apart and lay them on a towel to dry. Leave it alone for 3 days and then try to use it...I've done this with 2 phones and it worked both times.

Just let it dry, and HOPEFULLY, and that's a big 'hopefully', it'll work again (a couple of my family members have dropped their phones in water and still worked afterwards)
