I am setting up a MySpace account but cannot figure out how to add a picture that I have saved on my computer as the background image. Could someone please give me instructions on how to add a pic of your choice as your background image or recommend a web site that would help? Thanks!!

steps:
1. you need to host your picture.(ex photobucket) they will provide you with a code you can use for that picture. copy that code.
2. go to a site like http://www.strikefile.com/myspace this is a step by step editor to help you design your own layout.
3. copy the new code that the editor gave you, log into your myspace, paste it into your "about me" section.
below are more websites for tweaks/graphics, when you are done if you want to add those as well. there are also some html helpers in case you want to use a different layout editor.

If you already have a layout code that you can get alot of pages like.. www.myspacepimper.com
or google search the words myspace layout
all you need now is an image tag for the picture you have
go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for a free account. at photobucket you will be able to load your pictures and get a picture url.
you have 2 choices.. find a layout from any layout source and paste it into any section when you go to edit profile. then you look through the code that you are going to paste there and find where it says imageurl blah blah www.somewebsite.com.
what you will do is go to your photobucket after loding your image and copy the text were it says URL wich will look something like www.photobucket.blahblahblah / yourpicturesname.com
copy that section and go to the code over on the layout and delete it and paste yours.
or. copy your URL and use what the code the last guy gave you... only if you already dont have layout code.
and thats it
