I don't believe in being friends or hanging out with someone who has hurt you, or wronged you, because it brings back the painful memories.

No, that is fine. If you want to completely let go of the past then that would be a good thing to do.

It sounds like a generally good policy, but don't make it absolute. Sometimes good people make mistakes and do or say bad and hurtfull things. Never giving them another chance might mean you miss out on some really great times. Of course, most people who hurt you will do it again, so each situation is its own judgment call.

Nope, it's perfectly sensible to keep people like that from your life. Don't listen to people who try to get you to make the same mistake again and again by allowing them in to hurt you again. Be a good friend and surround yourself with good friends and your life will be much easier.

Their is much healing in forgiveness. But there is a time when walking away is best. Follow your heart. There is pain everywhere.
