If both parties are not willing to give the government full power what will happen in 2008? Will someone run on both sides that is not into high governmental power? Will there be something less scarry and more democratic? Will there be a return of the old Repiblican party?

Will Bush try to stay another term as a dictator instead?

What is going to happen? Give your predictions and reflectons. This is another reflection question. No right or wrong answers. I will not rate you. Just give your reflections. No thumbs up or down. Give your opinion as an American.

Well, the naive will say that total domination by the federal government (which should be our servant, not our master) is unconstitutional, but they're just silly. We haven't experienced Constitutional rule, in many years. We are ruled by a mixture of Admiralty and equity (public policy statutes; notice--you don't break a law, these days, you violate a statute--and right or wrong don't come into the question, but, did you or did you not commit a violation. Admiralty "law" is very brief), with a sprinkling of common (constitutional) law, just to fool the people into thinking that the U.S. Constitution means something to those in charge.
Those who are the true rulers of this country usually don't hold public office and it doesn't matter who is placed in office--things won't get any better for the working slob, who gets to pay the price for "safety" and "freedom" and "democracy." Those lofty goals and terms are but a smokescreen for nefarious plans to subjugate all (with a velvet-gloved iron fist), under the rule of a few.

To the above:

The constitution matters less and less everyday. Already it is looked upon as a problem by the government.

Bush cares about the Constitution about as much as the Chinese do. Go figure.

Besides, you may have forgotten, but FEMA has the ability to eradicate the constitutional rights we have in the event of an emergency. Also, the constitution can be traded for the United nations constitution if the U.N. ever becomes a world government.

Further more, in war time, the president can declare martial law.

So lets get something straight. Your constitution, our constitution, the one thing standing between America and Nazi-Germany, is no longer a firm wall. It's a river that they are rerouting with terrorism, government funded no less.

Your constitution cannot protect you. It can only justify your actions when you stand up for yourself.

If w passes a law enabling him to stay . Then I'll be going to Australia . We all should be afraid , even his supporters .They will be even more betrayed , because they trust him . We all must be prepared to make our voices heard. W is attempting to destroy civil liberty.I love this country , I served in Somalia . " Once there was a country called the United States of America , it was destroyed by its own fear .The people there wanted to be free , but its leaders were fooled by greed and avarice . A threat confirmed , a promise unkept , while millions wept , freedom was swept aside , by fear , anger a rising tide." ...Dont forget to vote , no matter what party or belief you hold . Take care , everyone .

My opinion as an American is that this is a stupid question based on your lack of understanding of how our constitution works. What do they teach you kids in school?
