You probably want to know about programming in C, so you should look at the standard header "ctype.h" which should be included with your C compiler. It is probably in /usr/include/ctype.h.
Many of the functions in ctype.h have man pages, e.g. "man isdigit" will tell you how to use that function.

I actually have a toshiba satellite tv for pc laptop and that's how mine works.. next on your manage button ( CTRL) on the left area, could be a button with (FN) on it...on the same time as pressing (FN) press (F11) on the same time as..when you enable bypass there could be a green comfortable above the ( 0 ) button. You do the comparable when you desire to could teach the numeric keypad off. desire this helped. =D

How is grep "expression" a hint for you?
Example of what I mean: echo "???" | grep "^\S$"
My reg-exp is not so good myself.
