I think it's a little too much when I receive all those irate emails from askers after I answer a question.
I can't help it if they can't spell or structure an intelligible sentence.

Just mark the Yahoo Answers emails as spam, and they stop coming.

i do and that is why when I post a question i unclick the box about receiving emails as answers are posted. Maybe you should too???

Yes I agree. Why can't the answers just stay public on the Answers site. I would be much happier with that!
With your e mail account it just clogs up the inbox

You can disable it in two ways:
1-Edit your profile on Y! Answers and permanently disable it, or
2-When you ask a question uncheck the box "notify by mail".

I didnt mind when the emails actually contained the answer, now they dont i think its a waste of time sending you them.

Uncheck the 'e-mail notification' box when you post your question, and you won't get an e-mail for every answer.
