A friend of mine that worked with me looked like she swallowed a football in her 3rd month. She wasnt fully round but she had already been showing for awhile. Seems like the same case for you. She did not have twins she had one child. Some women will show earlier and some will show later. It also depends on your size of course. If you are in a size 3 jeans then yes your bound to start showing now.
Good luck to you!

Hi, congratulations with your pregnancy:)
Most women start showing in their second trimester. If you have a history of twins on your mothers side then you could indeed be carrying twins, an early way to predict twins besides ultrasound is by an unusual high HCG level. You could also be further along then you think, or maybe you are extreemly skinny. In my case there is no need to worry and just be happy that you do not have morning sickness:) You will get all the answers you need next week from your doctor-hang in there:)

While it's true that MOST women don't show until around 3 months, it's not necessarily true of ALL women. If I've learned nothing else it's that every pregnancy is different.
You could be having twins. But I think you should relax and not worry about it too much. If your OBGYN thought there was a problem, he/she never would have made you wait a week for the ultrasound, they would have done it right away. I'm sure everything is normal, and maybe you are just a little farther along than you thought.

I started to 'show' with my first pregnancy at the end of the second month. I ended up finding out at 18 weeks that I was carrying twin girls. But before I scare you into thinking you are carrying multiples...... if you are naturally slender or athletic - that could be a reason for the tummy bulge this soon. You could also be retaining excess fluid or stool. Every woman's experience is different. There are a thousand possibilities - only your doctor will know for sure when they examine you.

Depends on how YOU are built to because when I weighted 95 pounds I showed REAL early with my first pregnancy and STILL showed with my 3rd 4th and this one before 3 months hun. Then there is the possibility that you are further along than what you thought. And YES if twins run in your family that could be it as well. ALL you can do is set and wait until your ultrasound. BEST WISHES CONGRATS!

I also started showing really early, at about 7-8 weeks. I was told these scare stories by friends and relatives, because there is a family history of twins for me too.
But, I only had one child, and I didn't have the morning sickness either!

I think everyone's body is different and shows at different times. It's also possible that you are further along than you and your doctor think. The doctor will be able to determine how far along you really are when he/ she does the ultrasound, when the baby's size is revealed.Sometimes calculating by your last cycle can be totally off. I'm 15 weeks now and I was 11 weeks when my doctor did my ultrasound. He thought I was 5 or six weeks at the most!

I noticed that's happened to all my friends who have been thinner. They've noticed the changes a lot faster than women with more 'padding'... Is that the case? Are you more petite? If not, maybe the other woman is right and you might be further along than you thought?

it could be just gas. try to think if it gets "bigger" short after taking food or not. happens very often. In my case, too. I think your weight gain is normal. If you had a history of twins in the family, yes, you might have them too. Good luck.
