You know how you see transgenders (men becoming women) and they have these very womanly bodies. Well, from what I understand that is because they are taking estrogen that causes their bodies to change (grow breasts and become curvier).

I'm wondering if women age 18-25 can get estrogen for the same reason. If a girl is underdeveloped and having irregular periods will a doctor give this to her to "fix" her?

Also, will the results be permanent or will breasts return to normal size after estrogen is stopped?

estrogen to just get bigger boobs is rather dangerous treatment
increased estrogen can cause Cancer of the uterus, strokes, heart attacks..etc
I seriously doubt any qualified licensed MD would condone this

Estrogen therapy is not to be entered into lightly. It increases the risk of breast and uterine/ovarian cancers significantly.

Young girls are NEVER given such a thing to help them to "mature" as that is a natural process - what you end up with is genetic and sometimes can be enhanced surgically when the girl becomes an adult, but it honestly is not a medical requirement/necessity to have big porn-whore boobs, a bubble-butt and curvy hips. Some women are just naturally slender and not at all curvy... its a fact of nature and life.
Irregular periods usually aren't a matter for concern unless the girl is becoming anemic or the periods are SO erratic that they've become a matter that has decreased her quality of living significantly. In this case the doctor most likely would consider prescribing birth control pills for regulation.

To answer your question about the final affects of estrogen therapy, when men take the drug and then stop, the testosterone will naturally take back over (unless they've had the testes removed), and they will lose the body fat that gives them the curves, the breasts will decrease in mass (unless there've been implants), the facial hair will start up again, and the voice will deepen. For men, estrogen therapy is a life-time process.

For women going through menopause or ovarian removal treatment estrogen is given - sometimes for years - but since menopause is a naturally occurring event, the estrogen is eventually tapered off and stopped.
