Conducting some research and I need specific oaths of office with child protection listed in them. I thought that teachers and doctors had to specifically say that they will protect children but I can't find it anywhere.

Doctors used to take the Hippocratic oath which included specific mentions of doing to harm to the unborn or any other patient in their care. I don't know if it mentions born children specifically though. The Hippocratic oath is defunct now. Doctors swear to a different oath now.

The only place I can think of that this may be relevant today is in the Family Court or the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families. Their place is to protect the children, to act in the best interests of children. It may be that when Commissioners, Judges and such take office, that they swear to this. However, I haven't found anyplace on-line where such an oath is actually listed, sorry.

we were all once children... why is it necessary to swear to protect something that is a condition to be grown out of?
