this was the latest update made by microsoft. they said that they would not support these operating system anymore, for technical support and information, thus, phasing out these OS as they are considered to be obsolete. higher versions are still supported though, from Windows 2000 up.

Is it justifiable that Ford no longer supports the Model T?

The usable lifespan of an operating system is not very long, and then the energy and effort of the manufacturer must move on to the latest, and hopefully improved, operating system.

Yes. Get the latest and greatest...Windows XP is the newest version (2002). 2000/ME and XP (both pro and home) are still supported by Microsoft. In some cases you can purchase an extended support contract where you can get support after the mainstream support has ended. If you insist on keeping the older version, you might research that.

Of course it is justified. Do you expect them to support it forever?

hey they all suck, none of them should be supported by microsoft, an interesting fact about windows..........did you know that steve jobs and bill gates stole the idea from ibm........ enough said about why they suck......

no it is not. but to sale their higher versions they have done that. its another example of microsofts monopoly, because now you will have to buy winxp or win2000
