Sounds like the symptoms to Carpal Tunnel.
Do you have pain in your arms at night while sleeping?
Do you work with your hands at your job, manipulating, grabbing or using a keyboard with your wrists bent?
Have you had any sharp pains in you palm?
Take B Complex twice a day, take aspirin not tylenol, wear a wrist splint at night. When you have pain put an ice pack under your wrist. This is where the nerve come from the forearm to the hand. Carpal Tunnel syndrome people always have pain in their middle fingers.
It could be another problem so go to your doctor if it gets worse or none of my advice seems to apply to you.

We get pins and neddles when blood is trying to circulate in that part of the body after it goes numb like a dead hand or arm after leaning on it for too long, hence why we get the sensation of pins and needles.
If this is the first time this has happened, I would suggest eating more healthly food, to help your body circulate your blood more easily. But if you have lost all sensation in the top part of the fingers it could mean alot of things, writing or typing too much, sewing too much. I would suggest going to your GP to get it checked out as its recurring.

I had a similar problem that lasted about 3/4 weeks. Eventually went to the docs and she said it was in relation to nerves from roughly your wrist area which affect your fingers. Also circulation. Try not leaning on your elbows etc when at a table and keep them active, it does go away.

Pins and Needles are usually caused by poor circulation to that part of the body.
Your best bet is to visit your GP or call NHS Direct on 0845 4647. (Calls charged at local rates)

Ginko Bilboa is excellent for circulation problems which I am guessing you may have. It is a natural herbal extract with no side effects, availiable from health food shops in tablet or liquid form
