We learn when we are growing up playing little league, highschool ball and even college ball...to shake the other teams hand at the end of a game. Why dont they do it in the majors?

They are setting an example for our younger generation. The get millions of dollars...at least they can pretend. My children see this and will start to think sportmanship is not important.

baseball has a rule against fraternizing with the opposing players, and also they think it might cause fights. and seriously, in little league, high school, and college it's not a business, but major league baseball is a business and nothing more or less.

Ok imagine if you will a game that you as a relief pitcher left in the 6th inning that you went into the locker room showered and changed and it’s now the 15 inning and because of a rain delay it’s 1:30 am est. and you are in say New York and you have to play a game in LA tomorrow would it be wise to fly ahead of your team to LA and get some sleep, maybe go back to the hotel room to crash for a couple of hours, stay and watch the game in the locker room, or not shower and change and when the game is over shake hands with the other team and then go get some sleep. Everything you just said have a couple things involved in that one all players are usually there from the beginning of the game until the end because of transportation if in high school you travel by bus and college you travel by bus or plain and in little league you travel with the team or your parents to the game so most of these players are there at the end of the game and all games are usually over by a decent time.

They don't really do it in any professional sport unless it's a really big game or something. I wouldn't want to shake the other team's hand if I just lost.

For that matter, why don't the use two hands to field balls or run out ground balls?
The kids could teach the grownups a thing or two.

Because at that level, The motto "Its not whether you win or lose, its how you play the game." doesnt exist. They're adults and anything less than winning is failure. There not there for sportsmanship and to set examples, they're there to win.

too tired...the players are just done playing at least nine innings
Plus, it would create some sort of reaction because players from both teams can't hide their emotions it could lead to a brawl.
