The words appear to look like those of a bad head on a printer. Some letters have missing characteristics to them. Is there a way of curing this problem? NOTE: the larger words and letters are in tact and readable.

Do you have an LCD monitor? If so, try running it at it's optimal resolution (it's listed in the manual or on the manufacturer's website). Anything else will create effects like you are describing.

Do you have a scroll ball on your mouse?
The thing wher eyou can just move it and the page scrolls?
If so, Hold down CTRL while scrolling it.
This will change the size of the letters on your page to bigger or smaller.
If your mouse doesn't have this, go to "VIEW" at the very top of the page. (Next to File, Edit, etc)
Go to "TEXT SIZE"
and make the text bigger or smaller.

(Much easier with the scroll ball)
