i know the two points thing but sometimes people go into loads of detail.

Some people feel that offering up the knowledge they have is worth spending the time it takes.
If you want a quick short answer, then why bother to read something someone put the effort into, because maybe they don't care totally about the 2 points?
What may be the 'correct' answer for you, is not necessarily the 'correct' answer for another person.

Well some people obviously do it for the points.
But I think a lot of people just put their answer in without reading the other answers. I often get duplicate answers.
Probably because they cant be bothered to read the other answers.
Ive just answered without reading the others too, sorry not enough time.

well there are various forms of participants some people are just heree for a laugh or to waste a few hours others are serious askers or answerers some people specialise in certain subjects and other just answer as many questions as they can as they pop up (live) its all just a bit of fun i must admit i really dont know the point of it all but sometimes its fun eh?!

Sometimes for two points, sometimes for more detail (detail can be good!)... sometimes I just don't scroll down and read the answers, I just hit answer.

I do it for the points!! , i like the free screensavers someone knocked up in five minutes. The buzz of it lasts all of 7 seconds but it was worth it and then i think get a hobby!!!!

sometimes people take their time to get their answer correct and to answer the question more fully, and some of us arn't so fast at typing which means that by the time we hit submit ten other people have got their before us! lol

Either to get the two points, and have the chance to get choosen for the best answer, and really because they can and choose too.
