If you are going for the youger crowd, all they want to do is get drunk at the lowest cost possible. Have specials for GIRLS only & never charge cover for girls. The more girls you get in the door the more guys will come in. Its the guys that can drink more at that age & if there are no ladies there - there will be no guys there.
- Have weekly contests to keep it interesting.
- Hire a DJ for Thursday, Friday & Satuday night that can run these contests for you!
- Have a dance floor.
- You MUST sell pitchers of beer, not just pints & bottles (people think they're getting a deal when they buy pitchers, even when they're not!).
- Have poker night on Sunday's. Guys think they're "The Man" if they can play poker.
- SPORTS have a big screens (the more, the better). When guys can't pick up, they look to sports to numb the rejection. Who wants to miss a Browns game?!
- Have @ least 2 Golden Tee golf games - They are cash cows!
- MOST IMPORTANT hire only good looking younge people!!!! That is one of the biggest draws! A ratio of 4 girls to every guy you hire. A cute, flirty shooter girl never hurts - good profit!

I think that it would depend on what kind of crowd you are tryng to draw in. Because kids these days very much define themselves by their fashion, music, and social crowd it's hard to come up with something that would draw in say the cowboy, the boho crowd, the park av girls, and the hip hop crowd.
I would pick something either really easy to remember, or really whitty so that the name will travel fast.
For example when I found out there was a bar here in portland called the "Betty Ford" I knew I just had to check it out, although not the greatest place, the name drew me in.

DO you have a theme.. what area are you in.. what;s the income level of the customers you are trying to attract.. what kin dof music will be prevelant.. will you have bands?? lots to consider...
We have two bar here in twon that are quire popular.. one is simplly The Bar...caters to t rougher biker crowd and other is.. The Office... caters to guys who don't wanna go home after to work and say they are staying late at the office.
