When I asked this question, I only planned to tell people how to download songs onto their iPOD. To answer your specific questons I don't know when the new iPOD comes out and I don't know how to change batteries.
To Download songs into your iPOD you must first open iTunes and then plug in your iPOd. Put a CD in and on the left side click the song you want to add to your library. Right click while the song is highlighted and go to convert selection to aac. Then go to your library on the left side and wait for the song to load. Once the song is there drag it to your iPOd. I hope that I have helped with some basic iPOD questions. As for the batteries, if you batteries are out and you can't recharge it on the computer call apple and ask them, because they charge you to replace batteries. As for the new iPod, I will let you know when I find out when it comes out.
