I'm shingling my Shed which covers 12' x 13' of shingles. I heard cutting them with a knife is the fastest. I don't want to spend a fortune on it either.

Use a utility knife. Usually roofers will cut the shingles after they're laid - as on the edge of the roof.

I wouldn't hire Satan he's really good but hes way too pricey, i mean i ain't giving my soul for a re-shingled roof, but i do know this one guy hes a carpenter and he fixed my front porch that was broken. All he ask for was repenting my sin so he gave a math book with an odd plus sign on front and he told me to read it ( i didn't read it) but he was very good all and all and i give him a high recommendation, although i forgot his name.
