I went several years where I didn't feel one real emotion. I went through life with no motivation or caring of any kind. It was like a world of pictures with no substance. I later learned that these were symptoms of clinical depression. I do not believe drugs are the solution but if you need them to move towards recovery then do so.

The ultimate solutions are not by taking drugs. You have to exercises (I know it sounds cliche), eat a healthy diet and get involved in new things. Meeting new people and having new experiences will help your brain get back to the point where its neuro-chemical responses are correct.

Do you really need all those medicines? How about trying to change your life-A really big step. I don't know those medicines, but I suggest herbal. SAM-E is supposed to help depression, so is Saint John's Wort. They may have a bad reaction to your meds. Ask your Dr's. advice, but he may be into making $ off you! Go to a small, local herbal shop for advice. Find some way to get yourself outt'a your funk. I had a bad dog-bark problem next door until I bought an air horn to blast in the ******* face when she barked. I also "chewed" out our neighbor for his so called "visiting" dog. Sometimes you have to make a STAND! The yappy bastar* is gone! Act like you're crazy & you'll either get results or jailed-ha! suzette_broomfiel@yahoo.com. Don't spread my email around, but incase you need to talk!

my sister in law is bipolar & she suffers from
anxiety too. It took the Dr. a while before she
found the correct medicines for my sisiter in law
to take. Talk with your Dr. & tell them how you
feel when you are on the medicines, perhaps
they can put you on something that will work
better. Give it time & things will turn out
to be fine.

I have been treated for depression. I started with Lexapro then moved on to Effexor and had added Wellbutrin. Lexapro may indeed be too weak. I'm at 300mg Effexor and 150mg of Wellbutrin and still ramping it up. There are many other medications to try. Work with your doctor.

talk to your doctor. No one on yahoo answers i going to know why your medicines might give you anxiety attacks or why your down in the morning. Some side effects can be really serious with anti-depressents, so definitely contact your doctor.

Get off the meds and change your eating, sleep and exercise habits. You need to de-tox from everything. Try Bikram yoga. Strenuous exercise will knock the depression out of anybody. These doctors are nothing but pill pushers.
