Everywhere I eat charges from $1.59 to $1.79 I try to always order water. Its better for you anyway.

Because we r there eating pizza and they figure they can charge that since we r already there! After all pizza makes u thirsty! Plus they do offer free refills so in a way if you drink 3 or 4 your doing okay! I know though its crazy what some places charge for things! I never thought Id be paying $2 for a bottle of water either!!!!

Well, let's see. Ice maker. Soda dispenser. Dishwasher. Towels. Straws. Servers/bussers/dishwashers. Maintenanace/repair/replacement. Payroll. Rent. Water/Sewer/Electricity. This list goes on. And I'm still only refering to what it takes to serve you a cup of soda. And finally, profit. How can they sell you a soda for only $1.79!

no free refills? Yeah, I know what you mean and it's not just Pizza Hut. Expensive restaurants do this all the time and put sodas in those narrow glasses. I think they put a tablespoon of sode in them and we gat an illusion of a full glass.

Because in a restaurant, you make your money in drinks. Where I work, they pay 60.00 for 1 box of coke syrup, and they charge almost two dollars for a large soda. I know it's stupid, but these places are cheap, and all they care about are their numbers.

because they make a huge portion of their dine in revenue on soda and breadsticks. They have to pay the waitstaff somehow.
