I received a white (greyish) lambskin chanel bag for a present. I have avoided carrying pens due to fear of marks, but today a lady in a store (i think perhaps intentionally) was waving her pen around & got me twice, 1" mark and 1cm mark.
I know soap & water is bad, but will leather cleaner really get blue pen out of a white bag? help!!! thx

dont use hairspray.u cannot launder the bag afterwards and it will only smudge the ink.instead try magic eraser from mr clean.rub lightly .first try it in a hidden spot. but my advise is if its a chanel bag (real one) take it to the dry cleaners see what they can do.for the price someone payed for the thing it would be worth it.

Well there are two things I know to do. You can try rubbing alcohol and a cotton ear swab then make sure you condition the leather after wards so it does not dry out and crack. You can also take the same pen write back over the mark, and then immediately try an eraser or rubbing alcohol again. Then pen reactivates the ink and makes is possible to be taken off easily. I have tired this with permanent markers on tables and chalkboards, a leather purse might be tricky but with gentle patients you might get it out.

i agree with taking it to the drycleaners.
first, tho, i would call a chanel store or retailer and ask if there was anything they knew of to get it out that would be safe for your bag. those things are investments!
lol, my son got ink on my coach bag and i did the same, they gave me good advice on how to clean it and what to ABSOLUTELY not do. it's worth a shot! :-)
