I refuse to believe all of this political, lawyer rhetoric and manuevering by lawyers to claim that the boy that Debra Lafave had sexual relations with was "adversely affected".
When I was 16 -17 i had two female teachers in High school throw themselves at me. #1 was a 25 year old English teacher named Janelle and the other was a 35 year old Social Studies teacher named Loran.
Janelle was not attractive at all. She had boring hair, ugly toenails, and 2 crooked teeth (I think they were bicuspids or canines) and she had huge DD pancake breasts that were bigger than me almost. I told her I wasn't interested and she stepped off.
Loran however was young looking for 35, was a small White/Jewish woman - about 5'7 with nice gold hair, pretty eyes and a small body and frame like what you would see on a GIRLS GONE WILD commercial. She and I carried on a sexual relationship for over a year - we made love numerous times andI got the feeling that she generally loved me.

We broke up mutually because we were afraid she might get in serious trouble if anyone found out.
We still talk almost every other night on the internet and sometimes I go to her place to visit her.
I am 24 now and I have a normal regular relationship with women my own age. I take them out on dates, whatever and I don't feel any negative adverse problems. due to dating Loran.
I think society is out to crucify Debra Lafave and the mother of the boy is jealous of her. Guys want sex and want as much as they can get. Though I dated girls my age in school, I was more excited to date Loran cause she was so much more mature and interesting than these boring class girls who just wanted attention and to get in my pockets.

first of all i envy you... second i hope you got an A in the class and third... I wish I would have gone to your high school... or at least had a hot teacher that wanted me... or even a hot teacher... if a guy is adversly affected by having sex with a female teacher he would either have to be gay or get an std from her

I think you ask a valid question. To me, children have various reactions to having sex with adults and adults have various motives when having sex with children.
Because so many of the situations involving sex between children and adults are negative, society has a rule which is that it isn't permitted. Society's rules can not be specifically written to take into consideration every variation of a situation. One need only look at the lives of those molested by priests to see that harm generally occurs in these situations.
As an adult Debra Lafave is responsible for understanding and abiding by this law. She is not competent to determine whether or not this child would be harmed by her actions or adversely affected by the possible resulting court actions.
When you watch Dateline's "To Catch a Predator" which is going to begin airing again, you will notice that the predators did not make an effort to determine the impact they would have on the emotional health of their victims. In fact if you access the Perverted Justice web site, you can read the chat logs created by the predators that have already appeared on the Dateline show. These logs clearly show that the focus of the predators is their own sexual satisfaction.

I know it's wrong and there should not be a double standard in the laws and blah blah blah. Just about every boy that was ever in high school had a teacher who everyone thought was hot and whoever got her was the stud. I'm sorry but men and women are very different when it comes to sex. No, I don't have a degree in it, I just pay attention.
If anything adversely affected any of these boys it's all the bs media attention.

I don't think high school boys are in any way harmed by sex with their teacher.In fact I think society in general knows that most boys would welcome the chance to have sex with an older woman.Unless a girl is being forced into a relationship by a older man,I doubt that experience will kill her either.Most kids are curious about sex at that age and some don't mind experimenting.none of this has anything to do with young children,they are to be protected always,no one should be forced into sex at any age,but most kids in high school just wouldn't mind an affair with a teacher.

Men desire sexual experience much younger and any young person would be thrilled at the chance to experiment. The thing is a teacher is supposed to be professional and there to help you learn, you could develop trust issues, more over make a decision you're not ready to make. If it does get made though, I think if anyone, a man will survive! LOL!

i dont think it really changes anything. its like sex with anyone else, just happens to be a hot teacher that wants u. in another two years when the boy would be legal there would be no problem. so i dont see how it affects them badly

In the case where the teacher was arrested, the guy she was going with was young enough that he probably wasn't ready emotionally. He was only like 12 or 13, if I remember correctly, so yeah, it may have hurt him a little emotionally.

Hey,, the only thing i can say,, is the boy is a dumbass.... for opening up his mouth!!!!! When I was 15 and could have had that.. wow,,, I would have been in Hog Heaven.......heck as far as that is ,,,,, can i have it now ????? i am legal....... lol
