Tough call, I would go with Delhomme because he's facing the weaker defense.

I'd go with Delhomme.
Despite the possibility of Steve Smith not starting, I see the Min v. Car game as a passing battle. Delhomme doesn't seem to heat up at the beginning of the season, but I'd give him a shot this week. Minnesota's secondary has been revamped and they are unproven at this point.
However, there is word Polamalu may be hampered by an injury, but still play. Pitt defense is formidable, but Leftwich is stepping into his own. Considering what Pitt's defense did to Culpepper and the Dolphins, I would have to shy away from Leftwich.

Leftwich is a young qb who is facing one of the best defenses in the league, but he does have some good WR options in Williams, Wilford, and Jones.
However, Delhomme has the experience, and even without Smith, he should be able to move the ball with ease against Minnesota.
Go with Delhomme this week.

Delhomme for sure. I wouldn't start many players against that "steel curtain". Leftwich will be sacked, Pittsburgh is always a monster on MNF, not to mention the Vikes secondary is mostly unproven

Probably Leftwich, Carolina doesn't have much without Smith.

Delhomme vs Vikings is a much better match up.
Leftwich vs. Pittsburgh is a bad match up for Jax.

LEFTWICH!!!! I have seen him play many times in person, while he was at Marshall. Leftwich has a way of surprising you with his dedication.
He also has a "gun" for a throwing arm. He was great at Marshall and he is even better now. He has a way of surprising you with some of the decisions he makes, but , to me, Leftwich is the way to go. He definately has "it". Check out his stats.

Del Hommie in a landslide. Pitts D is to tough and Carolina should be able to light up a weak Minn D.
