Okay, I have badly bruised my shin a couple of times ( yes, I am accident prone) and now I have a hard lump under my skin even though the bruise is gone. If I touch it, it's not quite numb but definitly feels funny. What is it?

Scar tissue from the impact. This usually forms to protect that spot.

Depending on the size of the bruise and the period of time that has passed, it could be tissue that is still healing. The outer layer of tissue will heal faster than the tissue inside. It is possible that it is a small clot, but should not be anything to worry about. If you have serious concerns, you should consult your physician. The only time you should be concerned that it would be cancer, is if there is a family history, or if it continues to grow in size. Again, if you have serious concerns, consult your physician.
