I mean i work for a big hospital and we use the internet for short periods of time anyway but can my boss check and see how long im on the internet answering these questions???

All I have to do is be on my computer all day.Alot of days I have alot of work to do.Other days I'm through early so all I have to do is be here if they need anything and to answer the phone.So yes, he knows I goof off if there is nothing else to do.I hate it though because I get so bored and the time goes by so slow.

Yes they do. Every activity is backed up on the server. This guy where I worked was caught with a naughty pic. they researched his past internet activity and timed how much time he waisted on the net and what dirty sites he encountered. The guy was fired quickly.

Probably. At least the IT director monitors Internet use logs and unusually long sessions will stand out. This will then be reported to your superior.

Absolutely. There are many software packages developed for exactly this purpose... to let employers track their employees time and surfing activities on the internet.

he can check the history for the computer or internet usage and see what you've been doing on here

my boss knows everytime when i'm on the internet. about them know when your on probably depending on if you have your own log in than yes but if it is used by everyone with no specific log in than no.

if they really wanted to , they would actually see screen shots on websites u access and for how long. dont abuse the privelege/.
