I live in NY and Six Flags Great Adventures in Jackson,NJ is always a good summer start off. It actually has Octoberfest coming up soon. The whole month of October. It has a haunted hay rides, shows, and much more. But it is cold over here right now. Go to six flags great adventures and I would not have to recommend any ride for you to take. The question you will be asking yourself at the end of the day is, "which ride was best?". but get there early if you are going on the weekend. But now that schools are session or is coming up soon for a couple schools, the lines should be very short. Last time I went, I waited 4 hours in a line for thier new ride. But it was worth it because time is not that important to me. It goes 125mph. And if you have any children, it is a great place to take them. They have an incredibly large kiddie land, and a water park next to it called Hurricane Harbor. Owned by Six Flags and on the same property, but different parks. So different admissions. And this Six Flags has a drive through safari. They have all types of animals and you just drive through. they are noy even caged up. But some are. But most are not. They even have snow tigers, and the monkeys always jump on your cars with a bamoo's *ss right in your face. not a pretty sight. They have rhinos and all. One of the greatest parks I have been to by far. Great for all ages.
LOL. I sound like a damn infomercial.

In England, Alton towers is good for Nemesis and Oblivion (this one is too brief a ride, though). American Adventure has The Missile and one that I can't remember the name of, basically a swing, but maybe 200' tall. The old Pepsi Cola Coaster at Blackpool is a bit dated, but still a goodie
If you go to Florida, make sure you have a go at Duelling Dragons, Jurassic Park and The Hulk at Universal, Kraken at Sea World, as well as the flumes, which are awesome. At Disney MGM, go on the Rock'n Roller Coaster and the Tower of Terror. At Wet 'n Wild and Disney Blizzard Beach are some of he scariest slides you could imagine.
Enjoy!

Cedar Point they have the MOST rides for the 400sq footage park. they just released info for the 17th coaster The Maverick. This is what i got from there site.
Guests will begin their adventurous journey on Maverick by boarding steam-era-styled coaster trains with an ultra-sleek profile that will carry them along the 4,450-foot-long course. Linear synchronous motors will propel the train to the top of a 105-foot-tall first hill. From there, it's not straight down – it's more than straight down! Maverick will take its passengers down to Earth at an astonishing 95-degree angle at speeds of up to 57 mph to within five feet above the ground! From there, the train will hug the terrain as it twists and banks around hairpin turns with quick but smooth changes in direction. Throughout the 2-minute, 30-second ride, passengers will also experience eight "airtime-filled hills," three inversions and a second launch through a dark tunnel that will leave them in awe as they reach speeds of 70 mph!
sounds SWEET!!!! see for your self.

Cedar point in ohio is great, but the lines are hours long.
If you do go, Top Thrill Dragster. Reaching a stratospheric 420 feet tall and topping out at an unheard of speed of 120 mph, this new steel screamer helped Cedar Point reclaim the title of owning the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the universe.
Is a must!!!!!
I took my nephew to six flags great adventure in New Jersey this past July, where they have two of the lastest and greatest coasters.
Kingda Ka, the tallest (456 feet), fastest (128 mph in
3.3 seconds) roller coaster on earth!
El Toro
The greatest wooden coaster in the world, El Toro! 188 feet tall, 4,400 feet of mountainous track and the world-record breaking steepest drop on a wooden roller coaster at 76 degrees.

By far, Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio has the best and the most roller coasters in the country. I recommend the Top Thrill Dragster and the Millenium Force. They are my personal favorites. I live close and go often. All of the roller coaster there are great.

Thorpe Park has a load of new rides which are brilliant. There is a really high 80mph one. The biggest freefall and free swinging rides in the UK. I think its overtaken Alton Towers now, the best ride there is 'Rita' the 80mph+ ride.
