That depends. Some people are really honest and true. But you won't know that if you never meet then in person but that's not really save either. Unless you end up having like net freinds and plan to never meet then i would say yeah you can.

I think you can. I have chatted with some very nice and wonderful people that I would not have ever known if not for the internet. I look to make friends on the internet. Maybe I'm weird but it's good. You have a great day. If you want to become my friend lets chat.

you can make a real friend, but the person that you are talking to might be made up, know what I mean? People can tell you their name and age, give you a pic of themselves (where it can be one of their friends, a family member or a general pic they find off the net), you never know who you are talking to. You also never know if what they are saying is just something that they think you would like to hear so that they get closer to you. I think if you talk with them for a long period of time, and they seem like the same person that they portray, then I would count them as a real person, and if you feel that you can confide in them, then I would say they are a real friend. Just be careful and don't give away to much info about yourself.

Oh sure. Better friends than real life. S/He writes nice regular mails, exchange songs, ebooks. provides suggestions, u can mail him/her when u r bored or lonely,argue over different topics, tell each other about daydreams and a lot more plans are there. I'm searching one such. Just friend.

surely not....
u cannot make frnds without seeing the persons...
they may b hott and interesting at that moment of chat
but cannot give u sweet memories as a frnd physically present somewhere around u....
u cannot enjoy life with an invisible and imaginary creature....
frnds r people who can disturb u even in ur dreams,
but u do not get angry....
but an imaginary person will not and cannot do that......

YES!!! I just had met some weeks ago!! Its pretty amazing to know there are other people out there that can be your friends and maybe best friends for keeps..
