They are interested in what you are watching on television or what you are doing on the internet. Flies are naturally curious insects.

The bright lights, i think humans are attracted to the lights too, how many people are watching the TV or on the web also,
Have you seen, TVs that are on buses now, were watching the TV screens all the time and forgetting to watch for the destination and the other people weird people on the bus, because they're really the more interesting thing to watch.
Sorry to go off at a tangent, but i was told that the flies and insects like the light. (and so do humans)

1. The screens are illuminating.
2. They are slightly warmer.
3. They move in other lit up corners of the room as well but as we focuss our eyes on screen and screen is a noticeable place so they are quickly visible there.

They are attracted to the colors on the tv or computer screen and the static electricity.

I think it's the light, the static and the magnetic fields that screw up their ability to navigate. But it's mostly the electric light, which is why bug zapper lights are so darned effective against them.

Both emit ultraviolet light, which insects are drawn to. Although I like a lot of the other answers much better than this one!

It is the sacred pilgrimage of flies. it is a sacred journey they all must make to find a hapless human to annoy until we SWAT THEM!

i know what u mean it really anoys me 2 like dey have a mind of their own and der just like 2 tease mee cause der are small and could fly . but de real reason is dat they are atracted to light
