sweeping generalizations e.g., why do men...?, why do Christians...?, liberals are idiots..., conservatives are idiots..., illegal immigrants from Mexico are all fat... Wouldn't it be nice to have more thinking people here instead of those who can't see life and people for what they are?

The day you can get rid of sweeping generalizations will probably be the day the world ends. Yes, I'm very sick of them, in fact they're one of my major pet peeves. But they're here to stay, unfortunately.

Well, just so you know - Some or more of those "people" who are liberal and immigrants, etc. Have been that way in the past - so it's no wonder they still get the same name tagged to them all the time.
Take a look at the beliefs of liberals.
Take a look at the hispanic race - for the most part they ARE overweight.
As far as the Christian thing goes - there is a difference between being Christian and CHRIST LIKE.
Since you're asking why "can't we see life and people for what they are?" Think about this.. Saddam was a murderer/dictator - should we put aside his "fault" and see him for who he really is?

I guess that is why I like comming onto Yahoo answers. I can't see the people I am talikng to so I get to know the person, not their race, religion, or political views, okay so gender is still kinda obviouse. I just make jokes every now and then. But you're right, It is sensless bigotry. I am tired of it, but I'll just defend my points, and laugh at others.
