I have had 4 children and went into natural labour on my own, so don't know, sorry, but one thing is for sure, that if u r 4 cms dilated already, then ur in slow labour, I wouldn't think u will need any help, be patient and things will happen, as I think they already are doing, good luck with everything, let us know what you have.

I don't know your chances, but you seem like you're in the right spot to do it naturally. I got induced on the 5th and it wasn't that bad. The drugs help a lot. I couldn' t feel a thing. Maybe a little pressure, but nothing that hurt. It was only bad without the meds because I tried to hold out for while. Good luck to you and your little one!

I've never been induced, but it sounds like you are ready to go any minute. What worked for me is I walked around the neighborhood, walking brings on contractions a lot of the time. Also having an orgasm is supposed to bring on labor because your uterus is already contracting.
If you don't start labor probably within a week they may just give you a bit of Pitocin, but it sounds like you should go soon.

you will not need to be induced as long as you continue to dilate. Every woman is different. They only induce you if you are more than a week over due and you are showing no signs of going into labor.

My personal opinion is that the drugs to induce you may push your contractions to speed up really fast. So it may seem like it hurts more then them coming on slowly. I woulod suggest walking alot or going for a bumpy car ride, or something to put yourself in labor.

here are some natural ways to induce labor:

Sounds to me like it will happen naturally soon !

Being induced doesn't hurt any more or less than natural labour. The processes your body goes through are exactly the same, the drugs just kick start them.

Hope it all works out well for you.

lmao sure gail. whatever. I was induced twice. my friend is a midwife and says also being induced is a lot more agressive.
Either way sounds like you could go anytime now!

good luck

Go for a ride on bumpy roads.
Watch a funny movie.
I watched The Money Pit and laughed so much I went into labor!
Much better than the Pitocin. Trust me.

honey, you are having that baby anytime, I dont think they will have to induce you, you are almost half way there. Have sex if you are in the modd, if not then walk a lot, maybe take a warm relaxing shower ( if you relax you will dialate faster) and good luck!
