I am a comedian and most of my topics run around family and sex. Not the always the act of sex but the psychology of sex and what role sex plays in our lives. Depending on what type of crowd it is I get a good reaction.
The problem is when I am with friends with my wife. Most everyone knows what I do and has seen my act. I tend to make comments and jokes that are sexual (but not graphic) in nature. I only do this with people I know.
The question is, Do most people find sex funny? I think since it is universal more people are apt to have some understanding. Am I wrong

To give you an example of one of my jokes.
"They say when you get into the kinkier aspects of sex you should use 'safe words' to let your partner know when to stop.
My wife uses 'I'm awake! I'm awake!'"

You are not wrong. Sex is fun and funny but unfortunately it is also taboo. Some people are really shy about it and it would take tremendous effort to change their mind and be able to talk even remotely about it to them. I hope to see your show one day!

Depending on my mood, If I had an extreemly bad day, then I don't find anything funny, But most the time, Yeah, The funniest thing about sex, maybe you can work this into your act if you haven't already, is the differance between, male and female. My boyfriend always bugs me for sex, so I just make it into a joke.

Sex can be really funny.
Because a lot of guys become fools when they see a womans **** and bottom. They want to eat every inch of a female.

No, most people telling sex jokes give the impression that they're covering up their lack of success in sexual matters. It usually is unconvincing.

well, it all really depends on how its said about sex, it could be funny and not funny at the same time. to myself, i could find sex funny in some ways, but mostly its more of private topic

Yeah, it can be humorous! Here is one my ex father in law use to tell. Yeah, we have five kids cause my wife always had a hearing problem! I'd say, "You wanna go to sleep or what?" and she'd say "What?"!!

i can see how it can be used to be funny,but i prefer to see it as a special moment with my husband
