it was very disturbing... watching your own husband being burned alive then having one daughter raped, another breastfeeding a subhuman monster then knowing your one and only grandchild has been taken as you bleed to death... that first opening horrific series of events was the worst.... oh... and the guy who blew his head off in the outhouse... GRUESOME! made me drop my candybar.

Holy Crap this movie rocked! I watched it back to back with Wolf Creek and this one buried it. It was disturbing YES - that was the point! Horror movies have always attempted to be such but thanks to mass media, it takes a lot more to do so.
High Tension was a previous project by the same director of THHE Unrated Version. That movie is also pretty disturbing.
Having said that, I love how the dad kicks *** when he is forced to reckon with his passive behavior - and saves his child.

I have not had the chance to watch that , but from the preveiws no not really. People said that Hostle would be messed up, but I had no issue with it. Yes it was gory, but so was Final Destination 3! So pretty much I guess it depends on your personality, but I like movies like that.

I didn't see it, but I did see Hostel, and I can't believe that any movie is more disturbing than that was! Who makes that kind of crap, and what kind of sick, twisted and evil people would want to see it? (I saw it by accident thinking it was a psychological thriller.) Thanks for the warning, I'll skip this move too!

It was pretty bad, especially the rape and molestations. The fact that there was a baby in danger was pretty disturbing also.
