Lots of blacks think that if a white person doesn't like them, that it's because of their skin color. Personally, I like intelligent black people. I very much dislike rap music and all the blacks AND whites who act like "gangstas". I dislike it as much as I dislike rednecks and their ignorance. The difference is, the rednecks will never think that I dislike them because of their skin color. The blacks ALWAYS think that. This is not true though. I simply don't like the culture. It's ignorant and self defeating.

This is a very interesting question. As a 28 year old white guy, I feel the same way you do. Everyone, regardless of race displays some sort of racism. Your question alone is a "racist" question. There is no American in this question that is "blind" to color. If I see some one who isn't white, my first thought is "there goes a black guy/girl that....." or "That Spanish person is...." I have always used race as a main charactisitic of a person. I never say "there goes a person..." I do not consider my self a racist by no means, but I realize the difference and there is a difference. It is a very sad thing this day and age, but racism will never go away. As a white guy, I have had negative thoughts about other races. I have even had thoughts about my race. This is a hard topic to answer, the only thing that I can add is that, we are all different, we should atleast try to put race in the back of our mind and continue to live peacefully among one another. We are a community of several different races. It is a very colorful country, and I guess that is what makes the USA special. Good luck with you question, do not feel like your the only one with these thoughts. I feel that other races bash us the whites as well, maybe not on the same level as you encounter, but it happens. Be safe, be positive.

I think white people think black people are more racists is because of the tension we have over each others white people don't realize that over the course of these years they have kept black people down in society with segregation and everything whites are always one step ahead of every race because their supposedly the superior race! for me as a black person i don't use the past as an excuse for why i don't trust white people today the majority of white people I've met are sneaky and i can't trust them but I'm not putting every white person in a group because I've never met every white person whites never seem to sit and think why do black people have so much hate towards us???it's because whites have displayed how much hate they have towards people not of the Caucasian race slavery not being able to go to the same schools or use the same outdoor facilities it's hard knowing that white people did that and i still think there are no trust between blacks and whites that's how i feel and i don't consider myself a racists because i don't verbally attack white people i just choose not to deal with them only if i have to

Well besides being a really large generalization, I'd disagree and agree with you. People do tend to "seize" the first physical characteristic when they are annoyed at some one i.e. a driver cuts me off and I'll yell "woman driver!" (well not really).
I'd say a somewhat reasonable generalization is that the less well educated a person is the more likely they are to view things from a racist perspective... This may be modified by when and/or where person grew up.
Personally, I've heard more racist comments, like yours, from one or two segements of society where as most of the rest of us are trying to move on.

I'm white, and I don't think of black people as being more racist than others. In fact, in one of my college classes, we discussed whether black people can even be labled 'racists." Because to be a racist you have to have power over another group, and we discussed how black people in today's society do not have power over other groups. (Black people can be prejudiced- not racist.) Society is still led by old white guys and everyone else just has to go along with them. Not to be too political, but Condoleeza Rice is a double minority- a black woman, but if you didn't know what she looked like, you would think she was an old white guy! It just depends on your values and the way you view different issues.
The big issue with white people today, is they believe that black people play up the race issue when things don't go their way. If they don't get a job, it's because they are black. If they don't get good service in a restaurant, it's because they're black. I believe people today are more prejudiced against overweight people or poorer people, than with people of different races. (Not to say racism doesn't exist, because it most certainly does. Just read some of the other responses to this question.) But especially with younger people, race is almost never brought up anymore. It's the good old boys who want things to be like they were 40 years ago who have the most problems with it.

The black people are more Racist!
They talk always about the white people and accuse the white people to be always racists when they do something that black people don't like ... but most times they do it for other reasons. This is annoying. That is anyway the main problem.
We white people don't think that a black person does something bad to us BECAUSE we are white. We don't think so many times about the colour of our skin as the black people. I talk with many black people and usually don't think about that they are black. They are humans for me. But the black people remind me many times on it.
They should learn that we are in a modern world. Of course exist some prolems, but not many any more.

This is a good question. There are prejudices from all racial groups. It just works that way. And the people saying that black people are more racist have no actual proof. They have no articles or statistics, that's just an opinion.

Everyone Watch out for words like that. That is almost as bad as being racist. I do not believe this and I am sure there are many other people who do not think this either.

I don't think black people are more racist. I think that prejudice goes on within every group of people on this planet.
examples: race prejudices, class prejudices, educational prejudices, political prejudices.
In the United States there are Northerners that are prejudice against Southerners and vice versa.
I typically judge a person on their character - it doesn't matter the color, religion, etc.
