The vet knows best.

Never medicate your horse with out consulting a vet. Medications for pain relieving can cause serious damage to the liver and kidney's if switched and gave too much over a period of time. Plus, the horse can start to become "imuned" to the dosage.

What you give your horse can kill your horse. Going by "instructions" on how to give doesn't mean you gave it it that way. Each horse re-acts differently and has a different "pain".

Depends on the degree of pain that your horse is experiencing. There is Banamine and bute (phenylbutazone) available at stores such as Tractor Supply. Since you weren't specific to what is causing your horse pain, I'd also recommend with everyone else to get your horse checked out by a vet. Additionally, unless you are experienced with giving your horse shots, then I would opt for the bute that is given orally (in a paste).

bute, which is pretty much asprin, i don't know if you can buy it in pet stores like a farm store but you can get it through your vet and administer it yourself, if it is a serious problem and you haven't had the vet out yet, it may be better to just do that. have your vet come out and diagnose your horse and then buy whatever medication the vet suggests and if the medicine is too expensive like most medicines are and you can't afford it maybe you can ask your vet for a more affordable option.

you know that's hard to answer. I have always used a vet for intense pain on any horse I was working with. Wish I could be of more use, but I really recommend the vet.

Good Luck

the only thing you can get without going thru a vet is asprin, there are painkillers the vet will give you and you administer yourself, but as to the catalogs out there you will be required to have a perscription or a vet license to purchase them, i suggest you see a vet if you are needing something stronger than asprin as painkillers only alleviate and cover up the problem...good luck

Suggest you phone your local Vet and ask them. There may be some over the counter medication that will meet your need,

You do not say what is wrong for your horse. If it is leg trouble, or laminitis, I have also used Equipalazone, but you would be best asking your vet.

You should NOT be medicating your horse yourself. You NEED a vet.
