I was on a 4 wheeler with a friend on the back. It was my very first time driving. A friend of mine was waiting across some tall grass and so I decided to go after him. I was going pretty fast and I cut a sharp turn and threw myself and the rider off the 4 wheeler. I had on sunglasses, the cop kind, and it cut me under my left eye and it was black for several days underneath. I also landed in a patch of poison ivy, scraped a layer of skin off the left side of my face (no scarring lol) and broke my left pinky finger. Needless to say, I'm much more cautious on 4 wheelers now. h yea. I was about 23 when this happened. My first black eye! YEA!

I was about 7 or 8 and I was on roller skates (yes 4 wheels) and I was at my grandmothers house and the ice cream man was coming down the street, where she lived he pushed a cart and didnt know english and if you didnt know spanish you had to catch him right then and there. So I was skating up the path to the door and she had this old flimsy screen door I opened it to yell for her to ask for money and my legs decided they were going to go backwards! Somehow I fell face first into the screen door and hit my eye. nobody seen me and I felt so dumb that I came up with this elaborate story that I was skating down the hill and there was this stick in the way........ I finally told her the truth about 2 years ago!

A few summers ago my husband and I were driving from PA to Missouri for a family reunion and I looked over at him driving and there on the very tip of his nose was a mosquito. Well, I thought I would kill it so it wouldn't bit the tip of his nose. I went to slap it and just at the same time my husband turned to look at me and instead of killing the mosquito I gave him a black eye. Boy were we both surprised! At the time it didn't seem funny, but now we laugh at it. Of course we had to explain the black eye to those at the reunion.

Someone threw a cricket ball at me when I was looking the other way.....I turned round just in time to get it straight in the eye. I had a nice black eye for 2 weeks from that one.

This is funny because I have never had a black eye. I have been hit in the eye with a fist and a softball but nothing.

I like growing-up stories...
When I was in 7th or 8th grade, I called my mom a very bad name - I'm not gonna repeat it cause my dad's gonna fly over to Canada from Japan to kick my a** again - well, my dad with Judo Black Belt flipped me and threw me on the floor - it wasn't consider as abuse when I was growing-up. It was discipline and I deserved it, too.
As for a black eye, I was in an abusive relationship and for every black eye my ex gave me, I gave him three. And he deserved it, too.
:-p

my most recent black eye was the result of getting in an argument with my roommate. We were fighting about excessive noise in the middle of the night while I was trying to sleep....and long story short....I ended up with a blakc eye and a broken nose...I think the black eye was the result of the broken nose.
