they are all 1.5 volts each, its the amperage that counts, where a set of EverReady re-chargable rated at 1700 mini amps will last a lot longer than bog standard alkaline batteries.... and more environmentally friendly too....
no Radioshack over here, (uk) anymore... try Woolworths or Tesco's...

How long they will last depends on how long the player is turned on, and the volume the player is set to....if the player is set to a higher volume, it uses more battery power, and can shorten the life of the battery. It can also depend on the brand...check at your local RadioShack to find out which batteries are the best for your player.
