The joys of self-restraint in ones thoughts and actions. It is scientifically proven that the most happy individuals, are those with the highest self-respect, and self-respect increases through righteous actions and thoughts.
The natural high is the high attained through positive thoughts, maintaining ones peace of mind, which gives us the ability to adequately fight all internal and external stresses, eliminating the mental condition of overwhelmed stress that leads one to seek a "high" through artificial means. Using narcotics, alcohol, etc. to get high, will lead to a temporary high followed by a "crash", leading to addiction, which leads to mental/physical diseases.
Maintaining positive thoughts is a struggle against satan in ourselves and in others, satan doesn't want us to feel good about ourselves, so it tries to get us distracted from whats right by engaging in impulsive desires, trying to lead us to psychosis. You can recognize satanic thoughts and actions, by understanding the intricate nature of evil, such as jealousy, self-conceit, pride, greed, distraction, hatred, ignorance, etc.
Often individuals are overwhelmed by stress and in need of an artificial high to relieve their stress, rather than solving the problems that cause the stress, leading to the problems getting bigger and bigger and the person less and less mentally prepared to handle their problems, which often leads them to crime, psychosis, and/or suicide.
If you study failed societies of the past, you will realize how that they all failed because of immense indulgence in sex, alcohol, music, luxury and/or drugs. Many individuals become failures trying to be "normal" by ignoring the numerous lessons of history, but that doesn't mean you have to.
