if you have been sexually active and have not had a full period you might be pregnant, and spotting while pregnant is normal in some cases, in other cases it could be more serious. take an over the counter pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant.

if you have went to the doctor and had the pap test done, then spotting is normal.

if you have been under an undue amount of stress then, spotting is normal.

if this last for more than 14 days, contact the hospital, it could mean internal bleeding or something wrong with your cycle.

if you are truly worried, contact your doctor, he/she will be able to give you much better advice than anyone on this site ever could.

Stop worrying. Go and see your doctor- you won't find the answer on the computer.

There are lots of possible reasons......
Some people spot mid cycle when they ovulate.
Some people have a very light period that involves spotting similar to what you describe.
Tough questions.... is there any liklihood that you could be pregnant or have had unprotected sex and contracted a sexually
transmitted disease?

Yeah its normal your body is probably going through a "period change' I have had a few sometimes ill have it really light for 2 days and then a year or two later it starts to get heavy and long , then heavy and short, then 3 weeks apart, Then spotting...Its perfectly normal i wouldn't worry,
Some might suggest getting on birth control to regualte your periods......Hope this Helps...

Brown indicates old blood. Get an exam. You may need a D&C. Get proper medical advice and exam. Best of health.

If it's itchy also, it might just be allergies, that's just annoying and will go by itself. Try webmd.com for now and I suggest you go see a doctor if they don't disappear in a couple of days or get worse.

im assuming you mean your skin is spoting? I would say go to a doctor, it may be anything from abosolutely nothing to skin cancer. it probably isnt cancer but it cannot hurt to get it checked out.
