If you did. What did you think?

I watched it. I always watch it. It seems to bring me out of mourning for my other Reality TV guilty pleasure, Big Brother which just ended.
I thought it was OK. A lot of hype and it doesn't seem much different. At least this way there is more diversity than usual and this season doesn't seem to be filled with a bunch of aspiring models and actors with agents...maybe finally some real people. We'll see..

I did. I have to admit that the hype about separating the contestants by race made it something I had to watch, if only to see how the show (editors and Jeff Probst) would handle it. I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting it was--and how the most "racist" comments came from people talking about their own community, and not in relation to others. Maybe its how its edited, but it makes sense people would be concerned more about the individuals within their own tribe at first than the fact that they were all the same race.

The snippet they're showing of next week has the oldest guy, "Cowboy," annoying everyone in his tribe with his Asian jokes--so far he seems to be the only one with a real chip on his shoulder about his ethnicity, and funny enough he talks about how he doesn't fit in within the Asian community at that. So he'll be interesting to watch.

And I realized from today's Survivor Live Chat that one thing hasn't changed--at least for me--the first few episodes are about picking out your Survivor crush(es)--and its nice to realize that has nothing to do with race (at least for me!)

Yes, I saw it. It was like the first year they had Survivor, but just a different race of people.

I don't watch that crap. You wanna see real survivors? Drop those nut cases in a remote part of the Amazon jungle without any cameras and first aid!!!!! Let's see how many 'survivors' would be then!!!

The separation of the races didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would. I think the Hispanics will take it the furthest, since they seam to be the most cohesive. This first show really didn’t do much to combat stereotypes though, did it?

I want to live in the Cook Islands.

it was pretty accurate. blacks finished last as always, they had a hard time solving puzzles and putting a boat together.

even the hispanics outperformed them.

good show. don't know why people are making such a big deal out of a reality show just because it's theme is about race.

this is real life anyway.

No those reality shows are boring. They make others hurt and degrade each other and have no morals. Thank God they are finally on there way off TV!

Poor taste to divide people by races.
