Yeah, without a doubt. He's probably the most popular Dallas Cowboy of all time. Big part of the Championship teams of the 90's as well. People that say he's overrated have no clue about football. Why is he overrated? Because he wasn't the fast, flashy runner, and he had a great O-line to make holes for him? That would be like saying Jerry Rice is overrated because he had great QB's throwing to him.

I thought they already did. When he played his first game for the Cardnials in Texas Staduim, they presented him with his old Cowboys jersey before the game offically started. Then at the press conference after the game he said something along the lines that it was an honor to have played for the Cowboys all those years and was crying. Then again I could be wrong.

I think scorpion is right - I thought they made a big production out of it last year or the year before on MNF and retired Aikman's jersey along with Smith's and Irvin.

Yes, and I'm a Skins fan. Emmitt Smith is one of the top three running backs of all time (Brown and Payton).
Barry Sanders was a great athlete but he was a side show who didn't know how to make his team win. 40 yard run followed by five straight runs for a loss.

I know absolutely nothing about American Football nor do I care, however i would retire the shirt using my total lack of knowledge. Maybe replace it with a 23 or even a 64. Now thats lateral thinking
