Give her toys with lots of different textures - smooth plastic, fuzzy animals, hard things (that she can't hurt herself with), mushy things, always be on the lookout for new things for her to feel. Same with sounds - any toy that makes a sound is good - make sure you collect as many sounds as possible. If she can't see, her brain is busy filling in the gap with her other senses of touch, hearing, taste and smell! (Maybe a drop of some non-toxic scent on a toy? With as much variety as possible, of course. A drop of vanilla on this one, a tiny touch of peppermint on that one.) She still has four out of her five senses, so encourage her to use them!

Good luck --

Play music and touch her when you play (tickling, toys she can feel and make noises).

Also get in contact with a social worker or school for the blind to see what other kind of developmental things you can do for her.

Don't give up on her blindness, their have been some great medical advances. I have a family friend who had been blind in one eye since birth and the doctors said there was nothing they could do. She found a surgeon that was able to give her sight back as an adult.

It is important that you help her to develope language skills by talking to her and trying as best as you can to talk to her in a conversation form (you can respond to her reactions physically). By doing this you will help important areas of her brian develop. Also it would probably be a good idea to give her thing to play with that have sound and texture to it. Reading to her and giving her books with things to feel is also a great idea. When you are taking with her allow her to touch your face and feel the way your mouth moves. Let her touch your face when smiling, frowning etc.

properly my mom advised me that's..... My son under no circumstances had the touching himself concern yet my 17 month previous daughter has been beginning up her diaper for months now and going "tickle, tickle, tickle". i became thoroughly mortified, the 1st time I observed her try this and in the present day noted as my mom(as I do for any project:) she's been a nurse for 30yrs) My mom basically laughed and advised me it is thoroughly regular and it is in straightforward terms going to worsen... great.... I basically tell my daughter "we don't tickle, tickle our female aspects stupid" placed her diaper and pants lower back on and redirect her to some thing else:) My friends with daughters all had an identical project beginning around an identical age 12-17 months. i'm no longer particularly advantageous whilst they improve out of it...

she needs a lot of other stimulation, like hearing and touching and smelling. Try taking her to a zoo, one that has a petting section. Talk to her, give her different things to touch and smell, expose her to different sounds. Maybe there are early intervention programs in your area for children with disabilities, look into it. The sooner you start being pro-active in her education, the better off you'll both be.

i think talk with her and let her touch you all the time in order to create a strong feeling. I am agree to take her in a pool or have a bath and stay in with her. thi is a relaxing way to have a nicemoment with her.

PUT A CLASSIC MUSIC, OR DIFFERENT TYPE OF MUSICS, READ TO HER, PAY WITH HER, LIKE SAY FLOWER AND LET HER TOUCH THE FLOWER AND DO IT WITH DIFFERENT OBJECTS. JUST LET HER KNOW YOU LOVE HER BY EXPENDING TIME WITH HER.
