take a look at countries that have outlawed guns. for example, England - ever since guns have been outlawed, the number of deaths from guns has risen!! don't believe me? look up the numbers
this also happened in Australia, where they decided to recind the law and make guns legal again

Actually crime has been dropping for decades and gun ownership is at an all time high, which pretty much destroys the "more guns = more crime" theory.

considering that the criminals don't care what the law says, so they are going to get guns anyway, the innocent law-abiding citizens should be allowed to carry guns to protect themselves. Oh, and you should read the US constitution.

The people of the US have a right to bear arms. We must exercise that right to protect ourselves from many things....criminal scum, tryannical government, etc. I would carry a gun in my purse, if I could. Protection is very important.

its in the constitution and part of the culture in main stream society to bear arms.....not that I necessarily agree that everyone should have a weapon, it is their right to do so.
