As long as my servants think I'm ok, then it doesn't matter.

Perception is reality to all people. The thing is it's your own perception that defines your own reality. Therefore I don't care how people perceive me. My self-worth comes from how *I* perceive me.
But to build / maintain a good perception of myself, I have to do stuff that I think is right, and not do stuff that I perceive as wrong. Doing that generally makes other people perceive me positively anyway.
But even if they don't, the only perspective that I have any control over is my own.

I used to care. I used to try to make everybody like me, but now I feel that it's better, or at least less stressful to just take the 'i don't give a F#$% what you think of me' attitude.

However, I will say it's alot harder to make friends when you think this way, but I'd rather die friendless than live my life trying to make everybody think good thoughts of me (sucking up, kissing a$$, being someone that I'm not)

I care somewhat because I don't like to "come off" as something I'm not but as far as caring to the point where I change who I am because I'm not naturally "cool," heck no.
