My husband has installed some kind of program that I cannot find on the computer or any info about, but saw a cookie called cookie monster. That one cookie may or may not be relevant. The computer never holds a "history" anymore and when I've seen him on certain websites, then they are not listed in the computer's cookies. I am looking for a way to figure out what software he installed that is deleting these cookies and if there is any way to see what sites are being visited and then deleted. Thank you! :o)

He's not deleting these cookies himself because even pages I visit aren't being logged. And I cannot find the cookie monster program even doing everything you all said. I wonder if he downloaded a different named program that did the same thing. I made a list of unfamiliar programs to me and tried searching them online but haven't found what I'm looking for.

WOW You are about to be amazed!
First search (with Windows Explorer) for and look at ALL *.avi, *.wmv, *.mov, *.mpa, *.mpe (it may be hard to open), *.asf, *.mpeg, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.bmp, *.gif, *.tif, *.tiff, *.png, *.mid, and finally sometimes *.mp3 as well as *.wma may reveal interesting results.
John M Karr will be prosecuted on some of these items.
Spy Sweeper will show you if if some one has a keylogger installed. Maybe someone does'nt trust you.
There may be legal issues on the use of a keylogger on a computer if it is not your own. Check the laws of your country, state, and local government.
Have two seperate logons to Windows.
Careful. Good Luck.

hi...wow sounds like some interesting things there. here is what i know.Cookie Monster II is a quick, easy way to deal with all those cookies. This free program creates an icon on your desktop that allows you to delete all the cookies you've collected with one click. You can also pick and choose, deleting unwanted cookies and saving the ones you welcome. However, the program does have its limits. It can't delete typed URLs, but activating Internet Explorer's privacy tools can deal with that. Best way i know to find it is to do this.. but be carefull. go to start, right clik on my computer then clik on explore. go to local disk C:/ clik on it then clik on program files and search for cookie monster. or instead of cliking on program files clik on windows and search the files there for it. cookie monster keeps a log of all cookies it deleted. best i can do for yea. for more information you may want to join my group at

Go to the Control Panel and then go to Add and Remove Programs. It will give you a list of programs that are installed on the computer and you may choose to remove the unwanted ones.

Sounds like you need a good Keylogger that can run in the background.
Google: keylogger and you will find tons of information on what they do.. I bet that will help with your search - it will also log any user id's passwords, AOL conversations, WEB PAGES HE TYPES IN - ANYTHING.
*edit* there is an actual PHYSICAL keylogger you can buy, it's very discreet and pluggs into the back of the pc at the keyboard slot.
