Socks are fun, PVC plumbing parts, baord game pieces, ropes, baskets, old tissue boxes, paper towel and toilet paper tubes

I made a hammock out of an old pair of my son's blue jeans for my rats and they love it. The legs can be left as tubes and hung or you can take a flat piece of the fabric and string up four corners to the cage. Rodents LOVE hammocks.

Toys for pet mice are not expensive. It would be safer and healthier for your mice if you just went out and bought some of them. Things from around the house may be dangerous. Card board tubes, small boxs and other things from around the house have glues and dyes in them that may be harmfull to your pets. Mice chew on everything!! They will just end up eating anything that you put in their cage for them to play with. So the safest thing is to buy toys from a pet shop or pet department of your local store. They are made to be safe and are tested many times before being put in stores to show that they are safe for animals to play with and chew on.

Little toy people so that they could feel equal in the relationship. Maybe even a little toy cat.
