Should I start Chad Pennington who is streaky or Jake Plummer who might get benched for a rookie? I'm pretty thin at QB. Do you think I should pick up Rex Grossman? I'm a huge Bears fan but I feel like a jinx, everytime I take a player from the Bears, they start stinking up the joint.

I'd go with Chad for this week, but monitor other free agents' progress. Chad has a ways to go before I'd be confident in him as an every week starter.

Pick up Plummer, but see if you can keep him and Pennington. Pennington is going to be solid, but he's not going to be the type to throw the 60 yard bomb. Plummer will bounce back and probably have a game this week.

Don't mess with Grossman.

I'd go with Pennington this week. He seems to have returned to his old form. Nothing against Plummer; he had an off week, but the Broncos excel at running and I think based on Plummer's performance last week, Shanahan will be inclined to work the running game more.

Hard to answer whether you should pick up Grossman since we don't know who else is on your team and who you would drop to pick him up. He worth the risk, but I wouldn't give up on Plummer yet.

I'd go with Pennington until he falters. New head coach Eric Mangini has him playing a more vertical game, compared to the short passes he used to throw. And he's finally healthy for the first time in his career.

I'm glad, too, as I have Laveraneus Coles, whose value went up big time after last week's air show.

BTW, this may help in the future.

Every week, players at each skill position are ranked based on how well they should perform against current opponents. It should not be the final word when it comes to start/bench decisions, but when they rank Pennington at #13 and Plummer at #31, it should at least make you think.

As long as Pennington is healthy, you should feel comfortable in giving him the start. I do think Plummer will get back on track, but he is always a risk with is potential for turnovers.

If your playing a weak opponent or a strong opponent take a risk and play Pennington. If your playing an average opponent go the safe route and play Jaker Plummer.

Stick with Plummer this week, he should have a good bounce back. Last yr Denver got smoked in their 1st game of the year, and then went on the make the playoffs. I dont know what Shannahan's problem is with getting prepared for that 1st game of the season.

Go with Plummer, I know he stunk it up in the first game but he is bound to come around.......all of the experts are certain that he will not get benched.
