I've used replays where they had commercial skip and a jump ahead 30 second button. I know TIVO does not have comercial skip but can you jump ahead 30 seconds? Also on a Replay I can enter a number, say 34 and then jump. This will take me to 34 minutes into the show, do TIVO's do this. If it matters I'm talking about TIVO 3 or TIVO 2

Thanks

Yes I mean while watching a recording. Is there a 30 second jump in addition to the regular fast forward.

Tivo does actually have a 30 second skip feature, but you have to program the remote for it.

Just press Select, Play, Select, 3, 0, Select on the Tivo remote. This should work on all Tivo series, including the new series 3.

There is no way to skip ahead a fixed 30 seconds on a Tivo brand DVR. DirecTV, which uses Tivo, does have a 30 second fast forward along with a 30 second reverse button. Not sure why Tivo doesn't offer that on their own branded equipment.

The girl's right. On mine, you can jump backwards or forwards as fast or slowly as you like once the programme is recorded. But in real time, you can only pause or rewind. Just watch everything an hour or an hour and a half after it has been shown and your life will be (bliss!) advert free. And every hour of tv will only last 40 mins!! Even better!!

XP Media middle change into pre-put in on my Dell. I positioned a DVD in it and stated i necessary to purchace more beneficial software so it would play dvd's(retarded). isn't that what the "MEDIA" in Media middle is for? also AT&T's U-VERS DVR sucks(lengthy tale)... TiVo for me..... yet favor the month-to-month cost change into more cost-effective.....

Not during real time viewing. You can only skip ahead if it's already recorded.

how can you skip past the broadcast? that's doesn't seem possible. i would think you can skip through things you recorded. if you go backward first, i would think you could skip forward then.
