I now use yahoo for email, but somehow Internet Explorer is provided by AOL and I am bombarded with pop ups,

Go to your control panel and go to add/remove programs and delete AOL. Its that easy!

click start-then control panel (if you dont see control panel click settings then control panel)-click add remove programs-look down the list that pops up for anything from AOL and click remove-the pc will ask if you are sure click yes and do that for each item. you may to reboot after each one but the pc will tell you if thats needed or not. good luck

Click on Start menu
Find Control penal and click on it
Look for Add/Remove programs icon
and look for AOL or any other programs that you want to get rid of.
click remove on the right side, next to the programs that you don't want.

put your AOL disc in, run it then run uninstall, you might need to go to the start menu, click on control panel, and click on remove/add, hardware, you can uninstall from there. good luck, you can also get pop up blockers via microsofts web site.

do a search on your computer.. aol.. and delete any files you find, also add'remove programmes too....

semtex is the easiest way. I had to completely reformat my hard drive to get that rubbish off.
