We either play by the rules or we don't. I want to live in a society that believes in the former. The level of culpibility is another question that only the NCAA in their combined wisdom should answer.

Yes he should be stripped and USC should have to forfeit the titles.
I do not agree with the NCAA on this I feel that athletes should get compensated for the money that they earn for their colleges but the rules being the way that they are the NCAA needs to do what the did to the other players and schools with these violations.

NO! the bottom line is that the NCAA has some pretty harsh rules that are just too old and lame. i understand the philosophy behind the rules, but circumstances are not the same.
in a state where the three strikes rule is in place, should a criminal who is convicted of a third crime be put away for life? even if the crime is something stupid like jaywalking?
the philosophy behind most rules are often sound, however putting them in practice is another story.

Absolutely, this award isn't just about football. It is also about character and Reggie's character is s**t!
Give it to Vince. I don't like him, but he is more deserving than Reggie.

I think he should be stripped, but who gets it? I dont think Leinart deserves it either, as he took financial benefits as well, so give it to Vince Young??? Maybe he should have got it in the first place...

no but I think everyone of the people who attempted to give him anything should be barred from setting foot on an NCAA school for tampering and should also be fined and have their license to practuse removed

No way. What ever antiquated NCAA rule he broke has nothing to do with his accomplishments on the field. He earned that trophy.

It really does not matter, right from wrong anymore, because the media is crucifying him now. He will have it taken away.

No, he was still the best player... they should think of some alternative consequences though.
